Going the extra mile is all part of the service with IsoCool, and it’s this uncompromising approach to excellence that was honoured with a Finalist Award at this year’s Plastics Industry Awards. Held in the prestigious Hilton Park Lane hotel in London, the glittering event recognised the very best manufacturers and suppliers in the plastics industry, and IsoCool had to beat tough competition.

IsoCool’s entry into the ‘Supplier Machinery – Ancillary Partnership’ category required participants to demonstrate outstanding service and significant benefits to a plastics industry client. With hundreds of delighted customers, this was easy for IsoCool – it was selecting one particular project which was the hard part! After careful deliberation, their relationship with plastics manufacturer Closures Ltd was chosen to be highlighted.

The partnership began when Closures issued a competitive tender for a chilled water system for a new factory annex. It was while conducting the site survey for this quote that IsoCool identified that Closures’ existing systems could be made far more efficient through centralising, upgrading, and the retro-fitting of energy-saving equipment. “IsoCool produced detailed cost analyses of our existing energy consumption compared with their new solutions. The savings were fantastic and return on investment excellent” explained Peter Acres, Director at Closures.

IsoCool completed stage one of the project in December 2010, and is still working with Closures to consolidate, develop and optimise the site. What’s more, their work is on track to reduce Closures’ operating costs by more than £52,000 every year.

This Finalist Award is the second for IsoCool in as many years, and is a sign of the company’s commitment to providing the most intelligent solutions and added-value service in the cooling industry.
